Public Hearing Scheduled for Rezoning Request in Columbia

The City of Columbia has announced a public hearing scheduled for April 4, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 701 East Broadway. The hearing, conducted by the Planning and Zoning Commission, aims to provide citizens and interested parties with an opportunity to voice their opinions on a specific rezoning request.

According to the notice issued on March 19, 2024, the request pertains to a proposal by Engineering Surveys & Services, acting as the agent for Last Enterprises LLC, seeking approval to rezone 2.01 acres of property from the M-C (Mixed Use – Corridor) district to the IG district. The subject site, located at 1801 Westfall Drive, is situated approximately 500 feet south of the intersection of Vandiver Drive and Westfall Drive. The case reference for this request is #111-2024.

In anticipation of the public hearing, Planning and Zoning Commission Chairperson Sharon Geuea Jones stated, "A public hearing will be held before the City of Columbia’s Planning and Zoning Commission in the City Council Chambers to give all citizens and interested parties an opportunity to be heard."
